Huntersville Walking Trails:
Huntersville has many beautiful walking trails, parks and greenways in the area and here are a few of my favorites:Latta Plantation Trail:This trail is a 4.2mile loop and is a great place to run or go for a walk. There are a few intertwining trails, the Hill, Split Rock and The Cove. Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash!

Torrence Creek Greenway:Torrence Creek Greenway is approximately 1.4 miles and winds its way through woods, a meadow where one can often see deer, and some huge rock formations. Some portions of the path surface are boardwalks through the wetlands and behind the neighborhoods off Gilead Road.

The 2nd Section of this trail is under construction and will add another mile to this already great trail
McDowell Creek Greenway:McDowell Creek is a 1.5 mile thread of walkway linking Cornelius and Huntersville. It encompasses some residential housing estates, office parks and the Westmoreland Athletics club. It extends from Westmoreland Road to Sam Furr Road and forms part of the Carolina Thread Trail.
