Cornelius NC is situated approximately 20 miles north of Charlotte and is a wonderful Town on the banks of Lake Norman.
Cornelius is "split" by the I-77 into two sections, the beautiful "Old Town" and then the "New Town". The old town has some restored old buildings, tall trees, lovely shops and small business being operated out of ornate 'olde worlde' homes. The new town has great shopping, superb restaurants to suit every palate, gift stores, hair salons, banks and more.
There are wonderful golf courses in the area including The Peninsula Golf Club. There are beautiful walking trails like Jetton Park and Ramsey Creek which wind there way along the banks of Lake Norman. Lake Norman is a playground all of its own where one can enjoy watersports including, waterskiing, boating, paddling, canoeing or even fishing or socializing.
